Interest vs Passion
I hear this words used frequently and interchangeably sometimes. But i am certain there is a thin line between them. This is the reason why i created this topic...i want to explore this thin line and delineate the differences. I would appreciate corrections and contributions.
I see interest as what you like doing. While Passion is what you like to change or make.
Some English phrase play together...i.e; Like toDo, Want toDo, Need toDo, Must Do! (or is it mustToDo like naija guys wld say )
I think interest fall in the Like and Want-to category while Passion fall in the Need to and Must category.
Another thing i know that makes Passion very unique. is the emotional touch. There is always an emotional attachment in what you have passion for.
While your interest doesn't necessarily have emotional attachment.
Still thinking...

so i think passion has a lot of extraordinary energy attached to it, while interest has a lot of excitement attached. what i hear people say most times is that i like to do what interestss me! very cool...\ or sometimes they say i like to follow my passion... also cool.
but where does your Ability factor come in what if you are interested in doing something you dont have enough Ability at doing for me now i ve always loved to play soccer, i would ve loved to be the best number 8 in the world. but... i no get enough sports/athletic grace..., while i am still calculating who to pass to, dem don carry ball go
need to build this up... more coming soon

Just wondering, can one be passionate about what he is not convinced of? Second question, can convictions be either right or wrong? or put in another way, are there positive and negative convictions?

There are wise and stupid people! Stupid people pursue convictions that are not worth it. They give their lives to get what they can get without even giving a smile to say the least. Men are in sizes. Look at David in the bible if he was not convinced that he should save his sheep, he would not challenge a beer and a lion. By taking the lion to a challenge he was prepared to fight a Goliath. Men are in sizes and the sizes are determined by the level of challenge we are ready to handle. Impossibility does not exist to some yet so many are bound by fear and insecurities and limitation and restrictions and laws and all kind of junk! We have to move higher in the interest-passion-conviction level to challenge the Goliaths of our life at all stages and overcome them to be able to get ahead in life.

David was convinced by also convicted that he should go endanger himself. He may be convince and not convicted so turn up a lackadaisical attitude to it and not deliver the sheep. Mind you the emphasis is on killing the lion not saving the sheep. He might have saved the sheep and not too endanger himself. But he focused on killing the lion more than saving the sheep. It seems like a sport to him.
***Sorry for being so direct about the thinking part.
