Lagos for example is becoming more complex in terms of traffic build-up.It can occur fast that the shorttest route becomes a journey of no end.

It is possible to get turn-by-turn driving direction to over 524 Bank branches and ATM locations, 2,424 restaurants, 2,580 hotels/Motels, 2,451 schools, 2,370 open markets, 982 shopping malls/complexes, 5,764 major offices, 1,267 petrol stations, 3,358 churches, 1,837 mosques, 478 Estates all within Lagos alone. Businesses locations can be searched by their names e.g. Mr Biggs or area e.g. Oyingbo. Routes can be generated based on "Shortest" or "Quickest" option.

MapNTL.com was developed by Nigerians for Nigerians. It has more Nigerian content than Google map and Yahoo map put together. The good thing about it is that any company that wishes to show its location on mapNTL.com can do this free of charge.

Well...i think you are right..i learnt a lot of ITS(Intelligent Transportation Systems) is developing fast in Europe.
I guess i was thinking of more sofisticated ones in my earlier post..and we dont need super-sofisticated algorithms for now in NIgeria..we just need something good enough, like the ones in europe. This would do a lot of help for us in Lagos Nigeria.
