Lanlife is right about the deprecated mysql_connect function.
This could be the problem if you are using a new version of WAMP (post 1.4.5a Releases - i.e versions released after October 2005!) but still using the old mysql connect function to connect.
Whats your WAMP version?

hey guys well i finally got my php to load php_mysql.dll.the fault wasn't from apache.i realized somehow i needed to copy php.ini to my c:/windows that where php itself could now c its settings file.well after that it didn't move smoothly until i deleted php.ini-recommended from my php folder.then wala! it just worked. now i can do all i want with mysql/php.well thanks alot.i know where to get my php books.
