Na waaa ooooooooooo... Since i am now going full fletch C++, i am trying to gather all my tools ready. Now i am really searching for a C++ application server something similar to tomcat for java apps. Checking wikipedia.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison ... on_servers Java has a very long list...while C++ almost no get anything
Wetin dey happen??...anyway...i am checking out CPPServ, and Tntnet. I hope to get the best out of them...once i can do what i could do with java servlets on C++ i think i am done with Java! And if i no find...i would go Perl-CGI and be using perl to run my C++ execs ...either over file systems or over TCP sockets :)
I just discovered that i cant continue a quick fix life style with programming...its time to become a guru in atleast one! ...even if na fortran its better than knowing so many without being a master in one. Java is blessed with too many names and terminologies...and its seams to be too high-level for me. I was initially thinking Perl...but they wld see me more as a sysAdmin...or force me to be a web-CGI person...so i remembered my first love C++! Now i am going all the way........
Pls if any one....as usefull info for me lets keep it flowing oooo.... Tanx!

Sincerely..i cant agree less anymore, that one programming language is not enough these days. i think every solid programmer needs atleast three languages that complements each other...not learning C# and Java all together ooo! infact i am beginning to consider Python now if anyone knows about it...lets flow

Seams interesting... But generally i would encourage any programming starter to start with C++ anyday! I mean C++ ooo, not C. C++ is like a key to all other programming languages...Once you know C++ ... very simple is every other language including; Java, C#, Perl, PHP, Python and C!

Looked at python many years ago. While it has its uses, it wasn't appropriate for most of what I was doing then, so I dropped it. I absolutely agree that folks should aim for 3 languages minimum. I said 2 "at the very least" cos I know some folks may be under too much pressure to learn any more due to time constraints.
na wa oooo! Tntnet even get inbuilt webserver, while Wt dey generate compiled Ajax on the fly! interestingly they both have very recent release updates...
i guess this are the only two existing...infact my C++ just dey struggle for webapps. i wonder why the language is described to be an high-level language
