Word Search: Given a string of letters, identify all substrings that create one of five given words. For example, if the words (argument) are: structure; such; system; blue; red, then the string jkdistructuredstrusyssystemoon contains the first, third and fifth words, one each. Need a solution to this (using javascript).

Better still, you can make the answer variable an array and index the answers in that array. Allows you to iterate tru the answers else where (e.g outside your function).
Yea, largely I think we should remind many people not to reinvent the wheel whenever we have a problem to solve. That is the problem I seem to have with the academia. We can move on from where others have advanced or make only changes where what the have is not suitable. Last time on a shopping software problem, a suggestion was made that one should go study some language(s) and I think that is slightly primitive and should be discouraged. Rather, we should move forward with minimal cost in time and resource.

@banji, Yes i agree with you..., especially when you posted the topic in the business section. That completely validates your argument... nice one The concept of not re-inventing the wheel makes me even more happy..., because it says that Africa can leap-frog technology, we dont have to build from the scratch, but we can scratch an extension or invention from what has been built already.
