And sometimes, I ask myself whether our so-called politicians (Baba Iyabo, Tony Anenih, Chris Uba, Adedibu and co) arent embarrased when they see democratic processes playing out in other countries.
Obama said, when he becomes President then blacks will be able to feel beta cos deir president is also a guy wit funny names. U may nt get a full pix but Racism will b less of any issue on d day on which a black man is d head of a world power country. US is not my country but dey influence U wer eva u are! So lets start to see d big picture b4 our self blindness make us obsolete.
I mean kill racism wit one major blow!

Ok for your information, a person in that pat of where in the world, wer did you call where she is ... is not even counted as exsistent. Which is bad enough. So why not make it such that her opinion in that local locality is considered in the highest world body. The thing is dis lets look beyond and not just at the next boundary we can see. I wish that my pple in the hinterland can decide to do, say a protest and the Senate in 9ja, or US is moved to respond. But if you are counted as obsolete and irrelevant a group of pple to b left to die wit AIDS while we spend so much money fighting an unjustified war in Iraq instead, den....???!

When the banana farmers in Peru go on strike, prices of bananas in London increase! Why? These guys have an impact becos they (note the word, "they" not Obama or some other benevolent minded US president) put their Agricultural system in order. They dont give a hoot who is Prime Minister (whether black man or white man; Gordon Brown or David Cameron). They will have their way and send prices up when they want.
Isnt racism just another excuse for loosers. When things dont go your way, you shout racism.

I pray Obama wins. Four years on, I will ask my mother if she feels any better, i mean more "existent" than she does today. I will find out the level of AIDS epidemic in Zimbabwe and Benue State has decreased. I will see if Nepa is any better. I will ask wether our refineries are working. Whether we have trains that work. I will go back to Nasara and see whether the collasping school where I did my NYSC has "resurrected". I will see if ASUU strike no longer happens. I will see if racism has been killed, or is being killed.
I am sure you know what they answers will be. I hope Banji is still around then, because we shall have a rejoinder.
