@ tuhot4me, Thanks for the contribution. My thinking is more in the self development line, character improvement and relationship healing line. Rather than saying sorry acknowledging two things is more effective: 1) This is where i missed it...and did it wrong against you. 2) It is wrong and i would not do it that way again. Simple!
i think those two statements is more complete and repenting. But do you know that sorry atimes doesn't mean repentance, it means let your annoyance stop! Then they go in a cycle again and he/she wld do thesame thing again! And then say sorry again! I have heard of men beating there girls/wifes regularly and they are always quick to say sorry, and then beg her again...and then beat her again! and then sorry again!

I think Fowe is a bit extreme with his thoughts on the use of "sorry". As long as the person says it sincerely, it is still super relevant in our day to day relationships...a sincere sorry will turn away anger and allow for a resolution of whatever the problem is.
example of un-sincere SORRY -----> list below. SORRY O!!! i say am SORRY OK SORRY SORRY HAAA!... at least i have said i am SORRY. SORRY... hiss hiss (long one sef)
note the un-sincere sorry. Bold and uppercase means stressed and/or screamed.
but fowe as a point... I want to belive what he his trying to say is it ethical to use to word "sorry" in an official enviroment? To some extents i would say it has alot to do with rapour. But if you want to be officious then you can go by the way of fowe.
some1 should correct me .., hope am not mis-jiving
I hate the word 'sorry' especially when it is used singly. It is not even encouraged in the English Language Gramma (when used alone except you are reffering to other meaning of 'sorry'). It sounds resentful and unrepentant as suggested by you all.
We must also note that there are times when it is said sincerely. It is common sense to distinguish which is or not. There is pele ako and there is pele abo
