In most cases the road to camps are somehow rough, this is because it may be the very first time you visiting the state.

Service year took me to Anambra State, what did I do on the way? I was alert with my pen and an exercise book on which I wrote an epistle of all that I saw on the way.

Was that useful? Yes, The first time I crossed the Niger Bridge, the Onitsha market, ...all this I presented at the Orietation Broadcasting Service OBS, this you can joing in camp. Hence, you practise a journalism profession.

There are meditations that are read every mornong on the camp ground before the commecement of the military training in the morning. this is a poem that the fellow coppers read and all reflet on them, I wrote and read the first Meditation in the Anambra State camp of feb,2004 and the title was "far away we have all come".

You dont have to write these before camp, but what you see sets the mind on what to write.

During the long work in the camp I wrote another piece. I wrote so many meditations. There are some other things in the camp that ou can do. participate. Today Ihave a UNICEF signed certificate from an AIDS programme that offered.

You will be paid on camp the fisrt salary or allowance and the trasport allowance, this is commonly called the bicycle allowance. keep your money and belongings as there are other coppers that are thieves dont be surprise!

There will be platoons, but this you cant decide it yourself, but God as the last digit of your camp registration number determines your platoon. Do not misplace your registration card as if stolen or lost, your will have to feed yourself until you are issued with another.

At the expiration of the camp, be attentive to the annocement of where you are posted. look for the vehicle provided to transport you down there, if you wait too long for a friend you may miss you way, then you find your way there,-you will have spend money.

Your Corper liason officer will take you to a bank where you will open your account, or to your respective choice of bank, but I advice that you follow instruction.

Do not eat or exhaust all you earn, because when you 'll be through with your service year.

I hope this litle info will giude you a litle. Make your CV, make photocopies of your call up letter, passport photographs, photocopies oe results and all other doc. birthday cert. etc They will be useful.

Once again please! About the Military training! What sort of activities are carried out during the training? Are they difficult? What If I can't do these things because of medical problem? Is there any way that I can circumbent these training? The issue is really bothering me!

The militayry training is full of fun. Except on a medical ground I advise you look forward to it. It is just for 3 weeks.
