Job Title: Contracts Administrator
Job Objective/ Purpose of Job: Provide contracts administration support to individual Project Managers on an Integrated Facilities Upgrade Project for offshore Nigeria. The Project includes a 200 MMscf/d Gas Compression and Export Facility, a replacement FPSO plus associated CALM buoy and PLEMS, Water Injection Facilities, two new wellhead platforms and modifications to a number of existing production and wellhead platforms, together with all associated pipelines. Project budget is circa $600 million and overall schedule approx 2 years.
Department/Division/ Unit: Facilities Engineering and Major Projects
Location: Lagos, with occasional visits with fabrication and construction sites
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Functionally Reports To: Coordinator Project Services
Administratively Reports To: Coordinator Project Services
Supervises: N/A
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal 4-off Project Management teams, Coordinator Project Services, other Project Services Team members, departmental Contracts Supervisor and corporate Contracts dept.
External Fabrication and construction contractors.
Job Duties/ Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:
Provide assistance to sponsors in the preparation of Tender Documents (ITT’s)
Provide assistance to sponsors in the preparation of contract/tendering proposals for submission to TB.
Assist Sponsors with the evaluation of tenders and the preparation of subsequent award proposals to the TB.
Assist in preparing letters of recommendation to NNPC in respect of all stages of the tendering process.
Assist in pre-award contract negotiations and claim reviews.
Review and provide input to contractual letters.
Liase with corporate Contracts dept in the update and maintenance of the register of pre-qualified contractors.
Other ad hoc duties as may be assigned by the Coordinator Project Services.
Key Performance Indicators/ Performance Goals:
Zero cost increases or schedule delays due to contractual inadequacies or omissions.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Education Qualification: Degree in an Engineering or Commercial Discipline
Professional Qualification: Membership of relevant Professional Institution preferred
Experience Minimum of 15 years in the Upstream Oil and Gas industry, with at least 8 years in a similar position
Age 40+
KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIREMENTS:
Functional/ Technical: Good working knowledge and understanding of legal interpretation of contracts
Proficient in MSWord/Excel
Good verbal and written communication skills
Managerial: N/A
Behavioural: Confidential integrity essential. Organised, interactive and methodical
WORK CYCLE (HOURS/ DAYS):
Monday - Saturday 0730 – 1630 hrs, with additional hours as operationally required
Rotation Contract position
Shift n/a
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
None
0 – 30 % X
31 – 60%
61 – 100%
