Submitted 2008-03-17 06:38:45 The Arican economy is constantly feared to lapse into inflation and recession. In such a state certain trends owed a diversion from the predictions that were made. The economic brains were with the predictions that with the symptoms of recession and inflation setting in the economy there were chances of fall in the spending capabilities of the Aricans. But surprisingly enough this has not necessarily happened. In ft in certain sections of the society Nicklas Lidstrom Jersey , quite the contrary has taken ple. With recession and inflation ing in, the rate of spending of the Aricans has also taken a hike, which was sothing that was beyond the farthest thoughts of the economic bigwigs. The point to ponder is, why has this very contrary thing happened? The economists studied the spending trends of the various strata of the Arican society. They found out that the cream of the society spent more even in the midst of inflation and recession. The economists were of the conception that this class of the society could not or did not promise with their standard of living. They continued with their lavi lifestyle even in the inflation period. Thus it was natural that as the cost of living increased in the said period, continuing with the sa lifestyle would entail an increase in the spending rate. Though with the increase in the rate of spending the returns were static and did not increase. This was the case with the affluent sections of the society. But what about the others? The interesting ft is that even the middle class registered an increase in the rate of spending. This was a real googly to the economists of the country. Consequently a lot of studies and research went into the trend. The reason as per them is the sa as in the case of the cream, however it does not sound very convincing. It is understood that as in inflation there is a rise in prices, the spending rate would invariably increase. But the increase in the spending rate is higher than the above ntioned reason would entail. The only ftor that justifies this trend is that people are not cutting down on their expenses. There has only been a slight sort of holding bk on the expenses by the middle class. This only leads to the ft that the Arican middle class is having a higher standard of living and an ine to match that.
